Fence Highlighting

Apparently, our fresh white fence was too bland for a local gang. So they gave us free highlights. Thanks, guys... Really...

Honestly... What drives people to desecrate other people's property like that? Good thing we have some leftover paint.

More Playtime!

Surprise attack!

Playing with Preston:

Playful Puppy

Ahh, what a great day! 80 degrees, and a lovely breeze! Wonderful weather for rolling in the grass and eating toes!

Cooking Tip

When baking cookies, do not forget to use no-stick spray o.O

Study Buddy

Sylvy is helping me study for my History test.
Believe it or not, this is big help. I'm the only one home and if I'm not playing with her, she's been screaming for attention. :D

Penguin Pup

Yesterday, Sylvanas decided that she was a penguin...

Yes. She was sleeping in both of those pictures.

Let's Start, Start, Start the Party!

We had a dance last night at the Plano Stake Center. It was an adventure just getting there; I couldn't remember the name of the crossroad, so we ended up driving about 15 minutes past our destination. I decided that I'd probably missed it when we ended up in another city! At that point, we called our parents to find out the crossroad and, more specifically, the address.
We ended up getting there about 45 minutes late! Woops! Once we got there, it was pretty fun, though :D

Our inital group:

Mandy, Holly, Jessica, Me, and Preston!

Our guy buddehs!

Chris, Ian, and Preston. (Chris is trying to get Kyle into the picture... *sigh*)

Got a picture of Kyle, finally. Thanks, Amanda!

I guess it's a back-to-school theme? o_O

Chris walked out in front of the bus! O teh noes!

Aw, aren't they cute? (my new desktop background, btw)

Time for a ginormous group picture! Yay!

And now for a moment of random.

(Jessica and Holly: If there is a picture not here that you wanted, email me: a_dawning_crisis@yahoo.com)

Puppynapped!

I puppynapped Sylvanas on Friday! Yay!

On another note, Einstein and Hagrid got a bath :( Poor puppehs.

Whee!

Ok... Got some catching up to do... I got a new desk for my early birthday present, so my computer hasn't been connected to the internet until yesterday when we went and bought a 50 ft. cable, so that it could reach back to my room.
Speaking of my new desk:

Huzzah!

Missionaries

We had the missionaries over for dinner tonight. They are so hilarious. Y'know, it's funny -- I always think of them as serious and spiritual (in a good way), I forget that they are only 19 or 20. They were quite excited for food, as any boy is. And when dessert was mentioned... Their expressions were priceless.

It's kinda weird that all the guys near my age are leaving on their missions. I think we have 3 or 4 in the field and 1 or 2 in the Mission Training Center (MTC) right now. That's a lot for our ward. All of them left within the last year or so. We have one more who will be leaving mid-October, and another one who's only about a year away. Preston will be going in about 3 1/2 years... Weirdness!

Mutual!

[Incoming bandwidth monster!]

Today at mutual, the Young Women were combined. We played a game called Life Stories. It was really fun! Here are the questions that I got, and how I answered them:

"What's a sport?"
"A journal article I read about
Alzheimer's while I was
writing a report. Apparently,
your brain melts..."

*draws another card*
"Over and under, around
the tree; find the knothole,
and you will see!"

Jessica's gamepiece is the best!

My goofy friends Holly and Mandy got ahold of my camera! O teh noes! :b

Family Sticker

I found this and thought it was cool.

Legacy of the Mountian King - Singed Page

Though nearly defeated
His courage stayed strong
Took sword and unsheathed it
And charged into the Fel throng

Since that violent day
Ne'r would arrow, nor sword
Find, in battle nor fray,
Its way to the dwarven lord

FHE/Dinner Prep

Mom makes dinner while I make dessert! Whee!

(Mom's like what the heck?) :b

<--- Mini Cheesecakes!

Hagrid is a snuggle bear!

Hagrid is good at snuggling, especially when you are sick...

Sylvanas

We've all agreed that we are going to get the white puppy! Yay! I think we've pretty much all agreed on the name Sylvanas, or Sylvy for short.

My mom brought her home for about an hour today (she's only 3 weeks old; can't keep her much longer than that right now). It was pretty funny -- while I was holding her, she started licking my hand. She licked her way up my hand and found my finger, which she latched onto. NOM NOM NOM!

Homework!

This is what it looks like when I get ready to take my stuff to the library to do homework:

My poor suitcase (yes, I use a suitcase when I go to school =b) is bulging.

And that's only Math and Physics! Wheee! Glad nothing else is due tomorrow, or I'd be doomed!

I took Anna with me to the library, since she wanted to get some books. We left the house around 6:30 or 7 pm. I decided to do my Physics homework first, since it's more difficult (save the easy stuff for when your brain is baked and needs a breather). Our library closes at 9 pm on weeknights... At 8:30, 8:45, and 8:50, they give warnings that the library is about to close. At 9, they announce "The library is now closed." Well, at 8:50 I was in the middle of my last Physics question, so I decided to finish up since I was in "think mode" and didn't want to lose my train of thought. This question, though, was a tedious 4-part question. It took me 10 minutes to finish it up. So, right as they announced that the library was closed, I wrote the last answer to my last problem and started packing up my things. 5 minutes later I left the study room, and got a very bewildered look from the librarians. Apparently, they didn't know that my sister and I were still there. Beats me why they didn't look in the room, or even happen to see us through the gigantic windows... Anna and I walked out, got to the automated doors, and lo and behold we were locked in, since they had shut down all of the public access doors. So, Anna went and found a librarian to let us out. Funny stuff.
Got home and did my math homework, since I never did get to do it at the library. It was easy peasy.

Puppies!

Our neighbors wanted to breed their chihuahua, Mindi, so we let Hagrid sire a litter with her. The puppies will be 3 weeks old on Monday. They are so cute!

Here is mommy Mindi,

and daddy Hagrid.

Here are their three little puppies. The one on the left is a boy; the white one and the one with a dot on her head are girls.

I want this one:

She says it's dinner time...

So we put them back with Mommy.

The boy is very pushy.

After a good meal, it's time for a nap.
