WOOOOH!

School got delayed two hours today! There is no ice on the road though :) I think it is because a lot of our teachers live in different cities, there might be ice there. It is very cold today.

Sadly, World of Warcraft servers are down for weekly maintenance. So I am stuck here for two hours with nothing to do.

Kids Say the Darndest Things

I love my kids at Kumon. They say the most absolutely adorable things!

• (In response to my asking where her jacket was) "I'm not cold. I've been out in the sun a lot -- that's why I'm so tan."

Busy busy week.... I am sooo not fond of the end of the semester... Every class has some sort of big thingy due. I've got most of them done, though, so I *might* have some time to update for this past week.

Took Hagrid to work/school* with me on Wednesday :3 I'm the only one at work on Wednesdays, so I get lonely.

*Ok, technically he didn't go to school with me. It was nice outside, so I knew I could leave him out in the car for the hour I was in class.

Free Candy Day

Huzzah, Free Candy Day! Poor Anna was sick today, so I picked her up early from school. At one point, she was feeling moderately human and carved her pumpkin. After Preston came home from school, he, too, carved his pumpkin. I didn't carve one, but I did make roasted pumpkin seeds. Yum!

Then, we went to our church's trunk-or-treat. Mom was a clown, I was a faerie princess, Preston was a phantom (I never got a picture of him :\ ), and Anna was going to be an angel, but ended up being too sick to go -- poor thing :( My mom was in charge of decorating the Relief Society room, and won the room decorating contest. Yay! I won the 12-18 yr. old costume contest for "Most Beautiful." Hurrah! Usually Jessica beats me out on that one. Preston insists that she should have won this year, too, but admits that he's biased since I'm "just his sister." =b

Vicious Dogs?

In my English class, my final paper is going to be an 8-10 page research paper on a controversial social issue. I chose breed-specific legislation. Some communities are passing laws restricting or banning certain breeds of dogs considered to be extraordinarily aggressive, such as Pit Bulls. On Blessthebullies.com, I found this picture:

Science Fair!

Preston and Anna had to do science fair projects. Anna decided to find out how clean different water sources are, while Preston tested the resistance of flame-retardant material after multiple washes.

Sylvy is the first of our dogs to ever care about a laser! :D

After dinner yesterday, we put down a bowl for the dogs which had had pork in it. Sylvy bullied Einstein away (what a wimp). Hagrid, for whatever reason, never tried for it. Sylvy was too small to reach inside the tall bowl, so she improvised.

I got pulled over today while pulling out of the campus parking lot... I had turned a bit too sharply around the corner, and ran over the curb. Who knew you could be pulled over for road kill? :3
